Bacteria from shoes harmful to kids

So, in most Eastern and/or Asian cultures, people do not walk around their homes with shoes on.  And, they most definitely expect the same of their guests.  This is probably an important thing to do in Western cultures as well, especially if you have kids that play or crawl on the ground, according to ABC News. In addition, ABC News reported that Good Morning America did a test of people’s shoes and found the following: 66 million organisms on one pair of shoes, fecal matter, chemicals, bacteria and much more.  This information is especially important for kids under the age of 2 who are the most vulnerable to the germs we bring into the house.  Furthermore, ABC News reported that these bacteria from shoes can cause all sorts of infections in the stomach, eyes and lungs.  So, what do you think?  Keep the shoes on or off? We say off!
