Chicago has so much to offer for both kids and adults.  But, what about free events.  Well, there are plenty of those events as well.  So, no need to break the bank as we all know how expensive raising our lovely kiddos can be.  Below is a list of some free kids events for this week.

Free Scavenger Hunt at Garfield Park Conservatory

What:  Try one of our FREE Conservatory Scavenger Hunts on your next visit! Enhance your adventure at the Conservatory by using one of our free scavenger hunts to explore. Themes will vary throughout the year and include: Backyard Bingo (outside), Candyland, African American History, and more! Pick up your scavenger hunt in the Lobby.

Age Group:
  Preschool, Elementary, Tweens, Teens

When:  Daily, kiddos can start the scavenger hunt anytime between 9 am to 5 pm

Free Concert: Sing Along with Neeleo at Lincoln Park Zoo

What: Sing Along with Neeleo delights young audiences with silly songs and tall tales at the Main Barn in Lincoln Park Zoo’s Farm-in-the-Zoo.  Join Neeleo as he performs original songs while the wee ones dance and sing along. This joyful jamboree features animal songs and dances for children ages 6 and younger accompanied by a caregiver.

On October 24, 2015, the Chicago Cultural Mile Association plans to launch one of Chicago’s most exciting, new initiatives - The Halloween Gathering.  This event is an all day festival gathering Chicago’s vast and talented creative communities for a day of dramatic display of Halloween along Chicago’s cultural mile.  Check out the schedule for this super kid friendly family festival below.

Halloween Gathering Parade and Zombie Thriller Dance from 6 PM to 8 PM

Fiddleheads at Garfield Park Conservatory

What:  Each weekend we cook up projects that get kids and families wondering about the plants and the natural world. Come visit over the weekend to get a dose of the tropics and keep your kids connected to nature throughout Chicago’s colder months. Each month, we will wonder about the natural world in a different way, with activities changing weekly. Please Note: activities are subject to change.

Age Group:  All Ages
