Who says New Year's Eve is just for adults? Get the kiddos excited about the New Year by attending one of these kid friendly New Year’s Eve bashes.  Most of these events are during the day allowing for an early countdown to 2016!  Whether you are looking for an event in the City or the Suburbs, there is something here for everyone. Enjoy some arts and crafts, dancing, yummy treats and of course an early countdown!  Enjoy and Happy Year!

Pump It Up Chicago

What:  Take the kiddos to a high energy New Year’s Eve party! Join Pump It Up in ringing in the New Year! Enjoy 2.5 hours of play including: pizza, drinks, a sparkling beverage, countdown to balloon drop and party favor.

When: Wed, Dec 30 and Thursday, Dec 31

Time: 5:30 – 8 PM on Wed, Dec 31.  Three time slots on Thurs, Dec 31: 9 AM to 11:30 AM, 12:15 to 2:45 PM or 3:30 to 6 PM.

Cost: Price is $10/person until December 30th when it becomes $13/person (every child and adult must be added as a bouncer). Online reservations are strongly recommended. Online purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable. Sorry, punch cards may not be used for this event.

Easel Art Studio: Noon NYE Party

What: Need some time to shop or run last minute errands before your NYE party? Drop the kids off for our NOON YEARS EVE PARTY!! Kids of all ages are welcome for an afternoon of crafting, freeze dancing and fun! Parents are welcome to join as we drop the balloons at 12 pm! Entertainment by Sarah Jayne Layne and extraordinary face painting provided by Megan Raysby. Crafts, entertainment, lunch, and a Polaroid photo booth all included!

Chi-Town Rising: Family Countdown

What: This year, Chicago gets its own free New Year's Eve celebration called Chi-Town Rising, similar to the NYE Party in Time’s Square NYC!  Chi-Town Rising is a new tradition for celebrating New Year’s in Chicago, featuring a lineup of great celebrity and musical guests, an epic countdown featuring a gigantic Chicago Star rising into the night sky, and a dazzling fireworks display at Midnight.

But, don’t sweat, they have also made it a family affair with a separate NYE celebration. In collaboration with the Chicago Cultural Mile Association, Chi-Town Rising invites families to ring in 2016 in Wrigley Square at Millennium Park. Drawing from the theme “Around the World for New Year’s Eve,” revelers in Wrigley Square at Millennium Park can visit activity stations that feature New Year’s customs from countries around the world including China, Thailand, Denmark, Colombia, Lithuania. Egypt, Scotland, Japan and Italy. Additionally, the Park Grill at Millennium Park has sponsored live entertainment featuring Kids’ Karaoke with Bizar Entertainment from 3pm to 5pm, followed by an interactive performance by WTTW’s Dr. Cool & Pride: The Big Show from 5pm to 6pm. The performance will build to the grand finale at 6pm – the Official Kids’ Countdown Spectacular! Party goers can also enjoy free hot chocolate and coffee, sponsored by Remington’s.

Kid City New Year’s Eve Party

What: Kid City, Chicago’s indoor play space will be hosting their annual kiddo New Year’s bash. Join us for a New Year's Eve High Noon Countdown!   This year we are bringing out the bubble machine, noisemakers, party favors, and hot chocolate bar!  We will also be crafting New Year's Eve hats to wear while ringing in the New Year with an apple cider toast.  Pizza will also be served.
