Many meal delivery companies are popping up throughout Chicagoland.  These companies simplify one aspect of your life by delivering fresh, chef made meals. Whether you want vegan, organic or diet, there is something here for everyone.  And, most do not require a contract or commitment, you can cancel anytime.  The list below are companies that deliver prepared meals, not just ingredients with the recipe. What: Kitchfix is the solution for when you’re too busy to make a meal, in need of a healthy option, craving something scrumptious, or all of the above. Enjoy foods that are chef-crafted, made from scratch, sourced as locally as possible, approved by their in-house registered dietitian and hand delivered by a team ready to take care of your every need.

Type of Food: All of their foods are Gluten, Soy and Dairy Free.  Paleo options are also available. Variety of foods available from Mexican, American to Indian. Organic, grass fed beef, pasture raised chicken.

Meal Plan: Menu changes each week. You can pick and choose your preferred meals as well as how many meals you want for the week.  The entire weeks’ worth of meals are delivered at one time which is delivered to you on a scheduled day. If you live in the city, you can also pick up at one of their Hubs or KitchFix Kitchen.

Radish (On Demand Daily Menu)

What: Radish delivers healthy, customizable meals, on demand. The Radish App allows you to build a completely customizable meal that meets your personal health and taste preferences. A meal is any combination of items from their daily menu of 3 proteins, 2 vegetables and 2 grains. Food is delivered in under 20 minutes, arrives hot, and is ready to eat. 

Type of Food: Variety of healthy meals from Mexican to American. They don’t always use organic but try to when they can. The company uses naturally raised meats that are completely hormone-free and antibiotic-free, and whenever possible feature 100% Grass Fed.

Cooked Chicago

What: Cooked is a great way to get a break from cooking. They pride themselves on being affordable, while still being foodie-approved. Cooked Chicago has a holistic approach to cooking that brings them back to their organic values as a company. They use hormone-free and antibiotic-free animal protein and cook with pasture raised eggs. They roast, bake and steam with coconut, olive and grape seed oil. 

Type of food: Healthy frozen/chilled meals with no preservatives, recommended that you enjoy your meals within 3 days of delivery. They have plenty of vegetarian, vegan, paleo, and kids' options as well!

Meal Plan: You pick and choose how many meals you want for the week. Their weekly menu plan is released each Thursday and you can pick the meals you want for the following week. You schedule a delivery date and a cooler is left at your door if you are not at home.

What: Sprig, a San Francisco transplant, features a daily rotating menu of three seasonal, sustainable, and delicious meals designed and crafted by their executive chef. Order meals on demand by the day for lunch, dinner or weekend brunch!

Type of food: Sprig believes in “doing what’s right and that means buying as many organic and sustainably-raised and -grown ingredients as possible. Sprig chefs work hard to create delicious food with at least two servings of fruits and veggies, and the protein and nutrients you need every day. What: Chef made locally sourced organic healthy meals delivered in 20 minutes.

Type of food: All organic meals. Vegetables are fresh, organic, and seasonal. Animal proteins are raised, not grown. Meals are made without chemicals, preservatives or GMOs.

Meal Plan: RAW offers a Weekly Takeaway Program, for your convenience! The idea of this program is to provide busy customers with food for an entire week!

What: On demand meal delivery company, Meal Village’s goal is to deliver fresh, high quality, and delicious meals right to your doorstep. Currently, Meal Village offers only dinner entrees.  The menu for the week is posted on their website or app with 3 dinner options for each day.  Simply order the meals that you would like and they deliver to your home (or office) that day. You can order up to 5 days in advance. Meals are delivered the same day they are made for dinner.

Type of food: Fresh, homemade meals made every day from fresh and raw ingredients, delivered chilled, so that meals are ready to eat in 2 minutes.

Meal Plan: Meal Village offers 3 dinner items for each day that you can choose from.  You can choose a single entrée or a family size entrée. Order for one day or for the whole week, up to 5 days in advance.
