The start of April is filled with lots of fun kid’s events in the city! Many are FREE such as the Neighborhoods of the World Celebration at Navy Pier and FREE Family Art Session at the Smart Museum at University of Chicago. Others are a nominal fee like the Kids Concert at the Beat Kitchen for $6. There is lots to do this weekend so check out the curated list below. What: Rock out with Mr. Dave at Sprout San Francisco! Fun for ages 0 - 3. Each ticket is good for 1 child plus adult. Adult attendance required. One adult per child. Please do not bring snacks to class. Please register to guarantee a space in class. If there are spaces available at the time classes begin, cash will be accepted at the door on a first come, first served basis.

Drop In Crafternoons Art
What: Drop in Arts & Crafts. You do not need to register for a full session, pick and choose which dates you want. Fun arts & crafts Monday to Fridays from 4 PM to 6 PM. This is a drop off class. On Saturdays, parent participation is an option or drop off.

Robotics Week at Museum of Science and Industry
What: The robots are coming—and they're here to help! Celebrate National Robotics Week by checking out the cool ‘bots designed by Chicago-area student and amateur teams, hearing from top university robotics scholars, watching a live robotics competition and interacting with some state-of-the-art robots. What: Join our hands-on workshop with your child and build a special craft. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Kids Eat FREE at Dunlays on the Square
What: Dunlays on the Square in an inviting Logan Square bar and grill. In the summers, you can enjoy their airy outdoor patio. According to Dunlays, they have the best veggie burgers in Chicago! That claim was enough to prompt us to visit. Their menu features delicious fare such as BBQ baby back ribs, the now famous Wrightwood Salad, a variety of martinis featuring fresh-squeezed juices, as well as an extensive craft beer menu and a unique variety of wines by the glass or bottle.
Date/Time: For the kiddos in tow, they get to eat FREE everyday between 4:30 to 6:30 PM. Kids must choose from the kids menu.
